There could be a million and one reasons that bring you here right now:
feeling low for too long; stress and anxiety that feels off the scale; experiencing relationship difficulties; you have encountered loss of some sort and are finding it hard to cope; generally feeling isolated and lonely; or you simply sense that life is out of balance.
But the overriding motivation will most likely be the need for change, for some movement towards a greater sense of wellbeing, of connection and even joy.
Sometimes we need help and support to move forward, to work towards a happier and more balanced existence again. Having someone from outside can help us see things with fresh eyes and hear with fresh ears.
You may feel alone with your problems, or sense that the support of those closest to you may have become a burden to them, or that sharing your difficulties has left you feeling judged or criticised. All of this can lead to an increased sense of isolation.
At these times reaching out for support elsewhere can be key.
